In BC, naturopathic doctors can maintain prescribing rights. Dr. Peltz often uses lower invasive approaches first, but in certain cases, prescribes medications as part of her comprehensive treatment plan. There are occasions she prescribes antibiotics, antivirals, antidepressants, high dose vitamins, or bio identical hormones, and more. 

Bio-identical hormones when used properly are extremely safe and effective in helping women optimize health when hormonal imbalances have occurred.  They are most commonly used in perimenopause and menopause but can also be helpful in fertility and PCOS. The privilege to prescribe allows Dr. Peltz to provide the continuity of care that is ideal for her patients.
